Profile
Silk Road Flowers by Far'ha began in September of 2003 when Far'ha (that's me!) needed a flower for a new flamenco costume. None suitable were available so I bought some luscious hand-dyed, bias cut, silk satin ribbon and made my first flower.
Now, over 1200 flowers later, I'm delighted to offer them to you here on SilkFair!
I hand sew the ribbon flowers, including the findings on the back. I do not use hotglue. My style runs the gamut from old-fashioned, traditional to my own unique sense of flow and color combination that is inspired by my dance background.---which includes dances from the Silk Road and Arab trade routes.
Until recently, I have sold directly to my clients at art/craft festivals, studio sales, and mail order. This winter, I have branched out to a few local retail shops and the online market place. I'm delighted to have discovered Silk Fair and having this shop grow with them.
I'm still "moving in" so check back to discover more flower pins, corsages and hair accessories; hat pins, stick pins, bridal and wedding related items, fascinator flowers, and more! For inspirations in the meantime, check out the galleries in my website: http://-----. Whether it is an item in stock or a custom order, I can list it here on Silk Fair reserved just special for you!
